I'm what you might call a two-way photojournalist, trained both as a writer and photographer. I am a recent graduate of the esteemed Photojournalism program at Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario. I also have a Journalism degree from Ryerson University.
Composition and a keen sense of observation are key elements in my work. These allow me to capture candid moments and make compelling images. I am currently a regular contributor at blogTO. My work has been published in Reader's Digest, 24 Hours, Spacing, Chart, Shift, NOW Magazine and Sports Illustrated.
As a seasoned wordsmith, I am among the top 100 rated Scrabble players in Canada. I have been visually documenting the tournament scrabble scene since I read Stefan Fatsis' book Word Freak in 2001.
I grew up in an artistic household: My father is an award-winning goldsmith/jewelry designer and my brother is a talented visual artist.
